Google+ is now open for all. So will there be a dramatic shift of masses from FB to Google+?

Google has attempted to do this circus before, and none of it succeeded. On top of all, Facebook has recently launched their new upgrade(Subscription and Lists) that is better than the USP of G+ i.e. Circles. Though, G+ brought it first FB just bettered it and released it just in time when Google + was made open for the public. This strategic move has diverted the attention of the existing masses of FB(that was more vulnerable to go on G+ to find something new) in exploring the new features of FB more than checking out what G+ is all about. Looking at all of this its certainly not going to be a cakewalk for G+. Probably market penetration for G+ is going to take some good time. Also, since past couple of releases Google has been in the news for all the wrong reasons so certain amount(negligible but still considerable amount) of 'back of the mind' hesitation for signing up for a new Google product can probably be there.
